Privil is a small, deliberate team. Most of us came from large firms, large security teams, or both. We hire people who care more about the work than the title and who understand that the bar for shipping is set by people who took an oath.

What it’s like.

Compensation.

Top-of-band base, meaningful equity, comprehensive medical. We publish salary bands in every role posting before the first interview.

Hours.

Forty hours, mostly. We do not romanticize burnout, we sell to firms that already do, and we know how it ends.

Location.

Offices in NYC (Flatiron) and SF (Hayes Valley). Most roles are hybrid or remote. We meet quarterly.

Interview.

Five conversations, one paid take-home (≈5 hours, real work, on a redacted slice of the codebase). Three weeks start to offer, typically.
