This policy describes how Privil, Inc. (“Privil,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit privil.ai, contact us, or use our services. By using the services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly (such as when you request a demo, sign a contract, or correspond with us), information generated as you use the services, and information from third parties (such as your firm’s identity provider).
For customers, the services process prompts and completions sent through Privil. Privil’s core architecture is designed so that the content of those prompts is processed inside customer-controlled environments and is not visible to Privil personnel by default. Audit metadata (timestamps, classifiers triggered, policy decisions) is recorded as a function of the deployment.
2. How we use information
- To deliver, operate, and improve the services.
- To bill, support, and communicate with customers.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents and misuse of the services.
- To comply with our legal obligations and to enforce our agreements.
We do not use customer prompts, completions, or audit content to train our models or any third party’s models.
3. How we share information
We share information only as necessary to operate the services and as described here. Categories of recipients include service providers acting on our behalf, professional advisors, and parties to a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal information.
4. Subprocessors
Privil engages a limited set of subprocessors to host infrastructure, process payments, and support customers. The current list is maintained in our Data Processing Agreement. Customers are notified of additions at least thirty days in advance.
5. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services or as required by law. Customer audit logs are retained in accordance with each customer’s contracted retention schedule.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@privil.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
7. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Details are summarized at /legal/security. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we encourage you to report concerns to security@privil.ai.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses a small number of cookies for session management, basic analytics, and feature delivery. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses and other appropriate safeguards.
10. Children
The services are not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
